My Story
I have been working out since as long as I can remember. I did became serious about fitness in 2008. Then I was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. I began reading The Modern Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger. I became very interested in bodybuilding and its workouts.
Since then I have learned from many greats throughout time. Franco Columbo, Frank Zane, Vince del Monte, Ben Pakulski, and the list goes on. But the guy that I always come back to is Vince Gironda, the Iron Guru. Vince had a profound knowledge of the human body. He trained many actors and bodybuilding champions since the 50s. People still teach and preach his teachings to this day.
That’s when I learned how to train with more intensity and less time. That meant performing sets with little to no rest between them. The effect this type of training has on the body makes the difference in results. You will notice it within the first 3 weeks of training.
At the time of writing this, I am 38 years of age. I am still on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. I will continue my fitness journey until the day I die. Here’s a little of my knowledge to you. I hope to inspire you to take action on your fitness journey.
