Water makes up about 60% of your body weight. Every body function needs water. From our cells, muscles, and even bones. Water is vital for our survival. That's why we can go weeks and even months without food. But, we can only go a few days without water.
Here are the top 3 reasons why water is the essence of life.:
Hydration (the obvious one). You body lose water though sweat, urine, and breath. When we don't drink enough water to replace the water that we have lost, we become dehydrated. This leads to number of health problems. This includes headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and more. In severe cases, you can die.
Nutrient transport. Water transports nutrients from our food to our cells. Cells need nutrients to function properly. Without water, cells would not get the nutrients they need to survive. Thus, our health begins to deteriorate.
Temperature regulation. Your body uses water to regulate its temperature. When you are hot, your body sweats to cool down. When you are cold, your body shivers to produce heat. Both processes need water. Thus, you would overheat or freeze to death without water.
There are many other reasons why water is the essence of life. It's also important to note the type of water you drink. The common water sources available to you do not carry the benefits nature intended.
